Rant on E-Billing

Some minor rants before I start on my tutorials (look at the time!)

I didn't realised that making payment for the miscellaneous fees is so difficult.

Firstly, I didn't know that the CPF Education Loan is not applicable for miscellaneous fees, so upon receiving the e-bill, I was rather puzzled as why there were some unpaid balance.

When I decided to make the payment, I realised that it must be done at the OCBC Bank branch in NTU. As I don't have an OCBC Bank account, I seek help to alternate ways of payment.

Attached is the reply I got:

Dear Danny,

OCBC Bank, NTU Branch does not require students to open a OCBC Bank a/c in order to settle student bills. You can pay by cash/Nets at OCBC Bank, NTU Branch.

Hi,
is there other modes of payment other then making the payment at the ocbc bank at ntu? I fear that the bank does not accept cash/nets payment because I do not have an ocbc acct.

When I reached the bank in the morning, they informed me that in order to make any payment, I must have the bill.

I complied with their request and printed the bill. When I returned to the bank on the second time, I was informed that NETS payment is only applicable to OCBC Bank account holders.

Hmmmm, didn't I just read that NETS payment can be done without an OCBC Bank account somewhere?

Anyways, I did pay the whole thing in cash. However, it is finally settled on my third trip to the bank. Maybe, in order to facilitate people who don't pay their own bills, they can give instructions on the email that they send us to inform of the e-billing. It will sure reduce the hassle of paying.
