wired

Its a tuesday afternoon and the entire family, excluding my parents, are sitting in front of the computer.

I dont know whether it happens in other home, but I feel that we are somehow incapable of leaving our computers and internet connection behind. Just imagine what happens if the internet access is disconnected in my house. This inability to do something else without the internet is really frightening me.

My brother and sister are stuck on the computer almost 80% of the waking time and its sickening. I hardly see my sister except for like twice a day (during the hols) - when she comes out of her room to take her meals or use the washroom.

Not that im a saint when it comes to this issue but theyre really getting closer to be a slave to their computers. And im worried.

Send Danny a Postcard

Two blog posts in quick succession, that means Im terribly bored!

My mother made a comment on the way I look is somehow comparable to the number of days spent at home.

Clean shaven Danny means that I had went out at least once within 24 hours
Caveman Danny (with the entire facial hair set up) means that I had not been out of my house for the past 1 day.

Dont anyone find it troublesome to keep a clean shaven face? I do! But I have to do it because I look damn funny with facial hair and it ages me by at least 5 years. Many are saying that I'm already in my fourth year, I'm not THAT old alright?!

Everyone's going overseas for their summer hols, guess who's not?
That's why Im like asking anyone that i know to send me a postcard when theyre overseas.

The above is from Kahhui. From his almost unreadable handwritting, I can see that he's really having a ball over in Hokkaido. I wonder what does 'people here are fantastic' mean? hahahha.

Anyway he's back and Ive yet to see him. I heard he came to the PC Show and he didnt even visited me on the sixth floor. Now I have some reservations on whether to make that 'contribution' to FOC hahahhaa.

Yeah, I know my address's on the postcard. So send me one if youre reading this and having a blast overseas!

____________

Please have a clearer display picture for your facebook account? Preferably one that shows your face so that I know who's adding me. Not that Im popular or anything but I dont normally add people that Im not familiar with.

Somehow people are just adding me to increase their friend count. Secondary school classmates that NEVER talked to me in my four years there are starting to add me. It's called 'friends' for a reason!!!

(The above doesnt apply if youre a pretty girl. Yes, I'm that pragmatic!)

Days of Living Hell

Saw shining's title and decided to used the same.

I used to think that sales should be a relatively easy job but after 4 days of the PC Show. I got to change my tune and tell myself NEVER to do something like this again.

Standing from from 12-9 sure makes one cranky at the end of the day. I think that I have stronger calf muscles from all that standing.

The best thing about it? 30 dollars goes to FOC since its a canvassing drive. On the bright side, I managed to pocket 20 dollars per day.

Anyone tried this CP shrimp wonton? It's absolutely awesome! I just had one box the other day and I can say that it taste better than some of the wonton I get in the coffee shop near my house. I mean where can you get one whole prawn in a wonton these days. Though its a tad expensive, I feel its worth every single cent.

I really need to keep my temper in check.

Work work

Taking stock in a warehouse, shouldnt be that difficult right?

Somehow, it involves lots of moving and my entire body's aching from it. The things I do for the money =/

The worst thing was that sengs was supposed to help me, but that lucky bastard got to make some deliveries with a dispatch driver that's an absolute slacker.

Tried the new ice cream outlet at westmall that gregory strongly recommended. Now, if gregory said something's good, it must be good.

And it's awesome. One of the better ice cream I had tried. It's hidden at the corner of the sportslink where a murder took place years ago.

So where do we start?

Let's start on a Sunday where we had a gathering of the OG, organised by sengs. Went to a boardgame store (someone got to give a name to these kind of places), similar to your Mind Cafe and Settler's, on Second Avenue.

Everyone's like complaining the ulu'ness of the place, but it's fine with me because I'm real familiar with the entire stretch of Bukit Timah/Dunearn Road from my days travelling to the novena area.

The food's just mediocre. The mushroom soup sucks, too mushroom-y for my palate. The boardgames and cards are in great condition.

Go to their website for more information. I think due to its ulu'ness it's easier to get seats, but the place's rather small.

Seniors "due to manpower constrains" camp on the following day.
Pictures on facebook, go search under jiahe's albums.

Met a bunch of interesting people from afth and naf. The first day was spent running around campus. Camo cream overkill. Got to know LT 19A inside out. Stepped into innovation centre for the first time since i came to ntu. Some trees isnt a good description for a location. Went home at night to sleep on my comfortable bed =) I dont think i missed anything in the night because almost my entire group went home and the rest probably will be hanging with their own groups within cac.

Four more joined the group on the second due to our pathetic number. Tested amazing race. Island creamery wasnt opened when we reached serene centre =( Long wait at the botanic gardens. Had a filling lunch at BK before doing some jumping (ughhhh) and even more eating (ughhhhhhhh) right after that. Managed to finish second! A great suprise since we set off from school second from last.

Confidence walk in the graveyard at 8pm. Paired up with danielle and missed out 2/3 of the route as we skipped the first station. Rather suprised that she will talk about that with me.

To sum it all up: I'm glad that i'm not a sub com programmer!

Noticed someone having a mood swing during those two days. And nobody's telling me ANYTHING!!!

Federer better win this year's french open.
Nadal out. Murray out. Djokovic out.

It's like the whole thing's rigged.

The Problem of Being Idle.

For those that reads my blog, I'm still here. Don't worry, I haven't been caught.

It's just that nothing really interesting had happened.

Got used as a tool because I drive as the FOC people needs transport to LCK graveyard. I'm actually very willing to tag along and I hold no grudges to FOC for being used a tool. Otherwise I will stay at home and complain to myself that I'm bored.

Back to the story. I decided not to enter the graveyard because I'm scared. I'm a chicken. I don't feel good doing these kind of 'things' in the middle of the night. And there are like 3172485 mosquitoes around the area, so I waited for them in my car with SWT (yes, I know you are reading!). The funny thing is that somehow there's 5 cars in the end as some decided to drop by after their meeting.

Supper is a good study in 'people-dont-really-know-what-theyre-talking-about-but-trying-to-know-what-others-were-trying-to-say-by-acting-like-they-know'.

Why are there like so many bust enhancement ads on the local channels in the dead of night. And some of them are really funny in the 'its-so-bad-its-funny' way.

Ad 1
Guy sitting on the sofa in a lobby.

Girl walked in with low neckline. Huge subtitle appears: 'flat chested'

Another girl walked in, also with low neckline. Once again huge subtitle appears: 'sagging bust'

Lastly, two girls walked, you guessed it, with low necklines too. Subtitle: 'perfect' (or something like that).

The funny thing is there's a close up on the guy's face. He's staring at them and giving a creepy smile when he saw the last two girls.

It looks like the aim of the ad is 'how to get creepy men to stare at your well developed bust'.

Ad 2
Two girls took the same dress, with low necklines AGAIN, and changed into them. One of the girls stared at the other, who have well developed bust and said: 'Why I couldnt get the right one?'

I'm sure she's referring to getting a right dress.

But the 'well-developed-bust' girl replied: 'Why dont you go for bust enhancement treatment? It works and it's all natural'

Followed by a close up shot of her bust.

By the way these two ads are shot, one will suspect that the ad is trying to get guys to spend money on their partners to get bust enhancement.

Oh in case anybody will like to know how I had done for the previous semester...

DAMN YOU TRUSSES! DAMN YOU V&M DIAGRAMS! DAMN YOU MECHANICS!!!

Yeah, I'm pissed off because I've spent like the most time on it but got the worst grade of my entire uni life =(

Otherwise this semester will be the one that finally crawled back into the second upper range.

Something's brewing...

Next week's senior camp! Not looking forward to the trip through the same graveyard though =\

The Problem of Being Idle.

I think I'm becoming nocturnal. I have been sleeping close to 4 and waking up at 2 in the afternoon.

So what I've been up to lately? Not much basically. Keep thinking that I should had signed up for special semester. But knowing myself, I will kick myself for going through the whole mugging-for-finals experience.

Everyone is having the time of their lives during this period, just log into Facebook and you will see countless pictures and videos of outings and such. But here I am, sitting in my room typing this in the middle of the night. I know I'm missing out lots. Sometimes I wonder, is it me that's the problem over here? Why don't I have enough friends to keep me occupied during this period of time? Are my friendship just limited to 'lunching buddies' in school during the semester?

Maybe too much time on my hand makes me have crazy thoughts. Take me out damn it!!!
