Recess? What recess?

It's like I have to do so much more things to complete during the recess week than those weeks in school.

I got this feeling that everybody thinks that since it's recess week and you don't have to attend lessons, so you will have lots of time to finish your projects and essays. Not to mention that you will also have time to catch up on the things you had learnt for the past 6 weeks in school. Oh did I mentioned that you have two quizzes right after recess to prepare for?

"Enjoy your recess!" I wonder how much do they really mean it when they said that...

I didn't know that families and friends gathers for Mid-Autumn Festival until I found out that do so in Hong Kong. All along I always thought that the Mid-Autumn Festival is just an excuse for people to stuff themselves silly with mooncakes (I don't really like them) and pyromaniacs to finally play with candles and sparklers.

So it's kind of symbolic that my aunt and her husband from Hong Kong (uncle, I guess? Don't really know the term) came for dinner with my family and my grandmother. I'm really glad that they flew over here or else it will be just like any other Sunday night.

Met Corina on the 179 bus. One of the rare times where my school day actually starts at 11:30pm due to cancellation of lectures in the morning. Come to think of it, how come so many of my lectures and tutorials are canceled... The school must be cheating our school fees.

So we were on the bus when there's this funny looking seat that looks damaged with one side lower than the other.

Then a guy sat down on it and the seat instantly gave away with a loud crash. The guy stood up and quickly moved to another seat.

And you thought no one will sit on a damaged seat, but no... There's ANOTHER girl, who looks super tired, also went to sit on that seat. Down went the seat again and this time she moved even quicker to another seat than the guy earlier on. I guess she don't need any caffeine to stay away after that.

So who's the real victim over here? Not those two that sat on the damaged seat, but rather this poor girl that sat BEHIND it. On the two occasions the seat gave way, it collapsed backwards onto the lap of the girl that's seated behind it. Poor thing, I guess that must had pretty much spoiled her day due to the face that she has over the whole incident. She must be thinking which pile of crap she had stepped on to deserve such 'luck'.

And there's two quizzes that I had for the past week. I studied hard for them but I still feel that I didn't managed to score well (enough). Guess, more hard work is in place for the quizzes after recess and the finals in about a month's time.

There are times where things seems like running me down and I really want to quit or wondered why am I doing all these? Luckily there's support from people that I know and I'm really grateful for it. Thanks.
